At the Intercoiffure World Congress Chevalerie Awards, a glittering gala recognizing outstanding Intercoiffure members and international industry figures, Estetica Network was spotlighted with two major distinctions.
The ceremony was a highlight of the Intercoiffure World Congress, held in Hamburg, Germany, in celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the world’s most prestigious hairdressing association—fittingly hosted in the very city where Intercoiffure was founded in 1925.
During this landmark event, Roberto Pissimiglia, President and Publisher of EsteticaNetwork, was named Commander of the Ordre de la Chevalerie, while Sergi Bancells, the network’s Global Editorial Ambassador, was appointed Officer of the Ordre de la Chevalerie. Established in 1972 and modeled after the values of the French Legion of Honour, the Ordre de la Chevalerie was created to honor individuals who have strengthened Intercoiffure Mondial’s global presence while making significant contributions to the advancement of the hairdressing profession worldwide.
A communications expert and special events leader, Roberto Pissimiglia has built Estetica Network into the world’s most influential beauty trade publishing group. Founded in 1946 by his father, Mino Pissimiglia, Estetica today includes 20 editions across 40 countries, 16 digital platforms, and a thriving global social community of over 700,000 followers. Honorary president of AIPP (Association Internationale Presse Professionnelle Coiffure), Roberto continues to support the industry through strategic consulting, publishing leadership, and collaborations with major global events.
Sergi Bancells, widely respected for his passion and authenticity, has devoted more than 25 years to professional hairdressing media. From co-founding C&C Magazine in Barcelona at age 21, to serving as General Secretary of AIPP, managing multiple Estetica editions –including Estetica USA– and now co-founding The Hair MBA platform, Sergi remains a tireless advocate for global hairstyling talent. He also serves as Global Ambassador for the International Hairdressing Awards.
